London Design Festival | Elif Erguvan Presents: Take Form - A Collection of Sculptural Furniture

Programme Partner: Mayfair Design District
Location: Arthur Sleep, 7-8 Savile Row, London, W1S 3PE

A selection of tables, objects, and lighting by Elif Erguvan will be on display at bespoke Savile Row shoemaker, Arthur Sleep. The playful but refined designs of Elif's debut collection explore new forms of sculptural furniture. Each piece challenges its own materiality, dancing the line between organic and industrial.

Elif Erguvan was born and raised in Istanbul and currently resides in London. Through her work in architecture and interior design, Elif honed her unique vision for enhancing spaces, which led to the formation of her own brand of interior and furniture design.
Inspired by both contrasting and complimenting expressions of nature and people, Elif aims to synthesise these elements of life in a way that inspires and comforts. Each piece presents a visual and tactile harmony that exists outside of a certain era or cultural origin. This exhibition will include a selection of Elif's tables, seating, and lighting designs - all handcrafted in Istanbul.

Elif strives to create spaces and furniture that are playful but refined. Inspired by both contrasting and complimenting expressions of nature and people, Elif aims to synthesise these elements of life in a way that inspires and comforts. Savile Row’s reputation was made by tailors who toiled away on bespoke garments at their place of employment. Now, a new Row resident is continuing that tradition of on-site craftsmanship but, in a first for the storied street, is focusing its craft below the ankle.
